We are a family owned and run design business with over 40 years of design experience. At Mark Design, we aim to provide a well rounded graphic design service and maker lab facilities that empowers young creatives to take their ideas to the next level.
Owned and run by father and son, Chris and Dale Mark, Mark Design is excited to bring a full graphic design, laser cutting, engraving and 3D printing service to Australia. Established in 2018, Mark Design is based in Melbourne, Australia. Focusing on graphic and set design and inspired by the maker movement and incubating creative collaboration, Mark Design offers a broad range of services. The aim is to remove the burden of expensive overheads by incorporating the principle of sharing tools and knowledge. Mark Design aims to provide affordable services to young creative professionals age 20-35, or anyone who has a creative idea!
Chris Mark has a strong stance on the direction of design through experience developed through his Bachelor in Communication Design from RMIT, completing a minor in ‘design thinking and doing’ from Hogeschool van Amsterdam and through his involvement in creative agency Monday Week. Chris as a designer has developed skills in branding and identity, product design and packaging, photography, print and pre-press preparation, web design, communication design and is continually building on these skillsets through collaborating with other designers and creators both locally and internationally.
Dale Mark has spent over 35 years in the field of interor design, predominately and notably with ABC television creating history making sets such as Spicks and Specks, The Weekly and Countdown - just to name a few!
Concurrently, both have initiated and managed small creative businesses and projects. Mark Design brings all of their experience and skills together in an online service that is passionate about developing unique relationships with creative individuals and delivering high quality, fast turn around prototypes and design outcomes.
